Qualifications and Accreditation available.

All pupils will follow the national curriculum in English, Maths and Science with the aim of achieving a GCSE qualification.  We would like all pupils to achieve a GCSE in the core subjects but we also offer Functional Skills and Entry Level for any pupil who may not be able to access GCSE.  We also offer a GCSE qualification in Art and Photography.

We have introduced ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) for Key Stage 4, this is a qualification equivalent to a GCSE.  Pupils can be entered for level 1 or level 2. Our Key Stage 3 pupils will continue to build their ICT skills in preparation for life skills with the expectation that they will then achieve ECDL.

We also offer a range of ASDAN short courses in Foodwise, Sports and Fitness as well as following the ASDAN short course to deliver PHSE and Careers.

We understand that our pupils also benefit from building social skills, therefore we have built in accredited ASDAN short courses for Expressive Arts, Animal Care and Activities and Peer Mentoring.  In our programme of activities pupils choose from; ice skating, swimming, beach games, film club, gym, bowling and enterprise.
